I mentioned this back in the fall, but most of the fun shopping I get to do is linked to my job as a trunk keeper for Matilda Jane.
I got this tunic from Lush after coveting it since September! It's a little dressier than most of what I wear, but I thought it would be great for those evenings when I want to be just a little bit more put together. It looks flattering on pretty much everyone, and I love the loose style with skinny jeans.
I had to throw this one in here because it wasn't ready for my Jane Parade last week - it was still in the mail on its way to me! This is the Navy Cruise Dress that sold out in a flash and will totally be a staple for me this summer. It's such a simple, simple piece so it'll be easy and comfy summer wear.
That's everything!! A lot of black, I know ;) haha

So I really only get to gather extras a few times a year, but Target + Old Navy are two places I usually go for those fun extra goodies. Nordstrom is always a great place to shop, too - with their variety of brands and always free shipping. (Not spons! Lol Just a fan.) So that's where I went to add to my spring and summer wardrobe this year.
Target first!
Target first!
I needed to refresh my collection of basic tees, and I caught these three on sale at 3 for $20, plus 5% off with my redcard, which made them just over $6 each. They are from Universal Threads, and they're great! I love their texture and fit, and the way they look just a little bit distressed. The navy one (left) fits a little more snug than the other two, and has a slightly different texture, too.
I also got this tank from Target - I love flowers and gardens, but the straps are even better. It's just a cute basic tank that I can see myself getting a lot of use out of this summer! This one ran small length wise, so I sized up in this one.
I'd been eyeing up this sweater recently, when I found that despite it being on a regular priced rack, it was triggering the 20% off clearance cartwheel when I scanned it! Scooore! I got it cozy and oversized and I love it!! The sides have grommets and ties - so cute! (PS, it's totally sold out online now, but here's the link to the plus size version if that works for you.) (It was the evening of release day when I took this one and I'd been up since 5am working and running errands....I look SO tired! lol)
Finally, I found this lone Hunter pouch in the picked-over Hunter area! It didn't even have a tag on it!! I'd been hoping to find one of these for keeping my phone and wallet dry when we're at the beach or the lake this summer, so I was pumped to snag it!!
At Old Navy...I'm pretty sure every single thing I got was black. When I shopped, winter was just NOT going away, and my heart was as black as the items I added to my cart! ;)

I got a couple of basics....black tees in both long and short sleeves. (The long sleeve was dirty when I took these pics so it didn't make the post! lol) The short sleeve was $5 and the long was $8 so they were no-brainer staples! I also grabbed a really cute black tee with tie-sleeves. Ties are EVERYWHERE, guys. If you spot a top with a tie - in the front, on the side, on the sleeves - it's crazy on trend.
Next, I got some great tops that I can wear to yoga or for a loungey day around the house. I actually got three of them, but two (this one and this one) were lost in the laundry also! One is a thicker sweater with thumb holes that I looove, and another has a great strappy accent on a scoop style back. This one pictured above gathers and ties on the side, and I love it as a regular shirt, too!
I also got a pair of black leggings with a fun criss-cross cut out on the ankle. These are super comfortable and have been great at yoga. As far as I can tell, they aren't see-through, either.
Next, I got two pairs of black denim. One distressed, one not. The distressed pair is really not what I expected - it looks nothing like the picture online. The pair I received had two huge holes in the knees and nothing else, but the picture had light distressing all up and down the legs. I'm still deciding if I'm going to return that pair - I probably will.
Finally, at Nordstrom, I got two pieces that I've been watching for a sale.

I also grabbed this Free People Henley when the price dropped last week. I was planning to get the black one, but when I saw this lilac color I thought I'd probably get more wear out of it this time of year. I'm watching it again for the price to go back down so I can get one in black, too! I think this is my favorite thing from my entire haul...and it's the only non-neutral. Haha! All the neutrals were necessary, though...Matilda Jane is anything but neutral!!
Well....except for this! ;)
