Matilda Jane September Jane Parade (Release Two)

September is so bittersweet - getting ready to say goodbye to summer while getting energized for fall. My feelings are torn every year, but not when it comes to MJ! Matilda Jane always knocks fall out of the park, and this month is no exception! There's SO MUCH to love in the women's line this release!!

Okay, shall we start with the most adorable dress ever? Let's!

I. LOVE. THIS. DRESS! It's the same style as our popular Discovery Dress, which is one of my favorite dresses of all time! The yellow floral print on the A Place in the Sun Dress is so bright and happy, and I'm so excited to style it for fall! It runs tts to just a tiiiny bit roomy in the ribs. It’s a soft and breathable cotton blend that is cozy and easy to wear, and this cut is flattering on all types!! Wear it with heels, wedges, boots, booties, dress it up with jewelry or down with a hoodie and comfy shoes. It’s cozy enough for every day wear and pretty enough for an event. It’s a beautiful must have at a realistic price point!!

My other obsessively favorite piece is the new Clairvoyant!

I think MJ-ers can all agree that when a design debuts and gets remade, it'll always carry the original name for us despite it having a totally different one, amiright? ;) Anyway, this is the A New Leaf Top, and it's a gorgeous green version of the crowd favorite clairvoyant. It's SO soft, cozy, and flattering! It's a roomy tts - I could probably do an XS but I like the feel of the S so I'm sticking with it!

I love love love this sweater...

It's cozy and soft and warm (but not too warm), and it's a perfect color for both fall and the holidays! How cute is this easy holiday outfit with the green clairvoyant and the A Stitch in Time Sweater?? I LOVE it!! It runs tts, so I could get the S but I think I'm actually going to keep the medium sample (what I'm wearing above) to keep a cozy, slightly oversized look.

I really love this next top, which is a remake of a popular style from our first Joanna Gaines collaboration.

I love the greys and the blue polka dots on the Let's Get Lost Top - it's such a cute combo! This runs a bit big, I'm wearing the medium here which I've pinned in the back to fit. I ordered the XS for myself. It's super soft and comfy and easily makes an outfit without having to add much else! I love it with my navy Hunter boots!

Okay, so - the jumpsuit this month - let's chat.

I love the print and how easily it makes you look dressed up and put together when you're just stepping into one single piece! But there are some sizing issues to note. I'm wearing the small above, and it's huge. While I think some movement in the legs of a jumpsuit is called for, the top is crazy. The straps are SO long, and there's SO much room in the top half of this piece. I would probably need to get the XS to fit the top and the petite version to make the straps fit. That said....I am not an XS petite! lol So if you typically ARE...there may not be a size in this for you.

There's two other dresses in the women's line this month.

A grey maxi, and a very fall-hued floral shift dress. It doesn't photo well, but I was surprised by how much I like the grey maxi. It's SO comfy, fits very tts, and feels fun and flowy on. For real though, I took a terrible photo in it, lol...it's MUCH cuter than it seems here! The other dress isn't really my typical style, but I did feel sweetly feminine in it! I'm not sure how it runs...I'm wearing the large pinned a bunch for photos, but my guess would be tts.

There's one more top in this release called the Afternoon Stroll Top.

This is a great MJ style for easily getting just a little bit dressy-casual. It looks so cute with the red sweater or dressed up with coordinating jewelry and a wedge. I'm wearing the large pinned for photos above - I think I'd call this one tts.

The award for coziest outfit of this release goes to this combo....

SO cute + comfy! The finns are typical finn size (tts in my opinion), but they have a texture to them that's juuust slightly different than most finn releases the past few seasons. I like that about them! I'm not sure what it is but I'm enjoying it! So for me, small in the finns. The hoodie is BIG - be warned! Especially length wise. In fact, I haven't even ordered mine yet because I'm so stuck on what size to get!! The one above is a medium (way way too long), so I'm not sure if the small or xs will be best while still fitting comfortably everywhere else. It's incredibly soft and cozy, though, and definitely very legging friendly!! (Lot's of CYA! lol)

Just one tween piece this month - there's more I like, actually (especially the kindred spirit top) but the samples were all too small for me to squeeze into this month ;)

I did wiggle into this ADORABLE hoodie though, and I ordered the 16 for myself. I'm wearing the 14 above and it's a little snug in the tummy area for my liking - I'm hoping sizing up once will give it just a little extra length, too. It's suuuper soft, not too heavy, has the cutest waistline detail and everyone's favorite - thumb holes!! I love the floral and stitch print, too - that granny chic combo is totally my jam! lol

And that's it for September, my friends! There's some serious all-star MJ pieces in this month, right? I've had more interest than usual so I think that speaks to the quality and eye-catching nature of these pieces!! Which one is your favorite???
